Nicki Roth is a senior consultant at Paradox Strategies.
Prior to joining the team, Nicki was the Vice President of Human Resources at the Boston Globe where she revitalized a function that had not kept up with technology, talent development, inclusion efforts and organizational effectiveness strategies. She was well positioned to take on this role after many years as an organizational and leadership consultant at Mercer Delta (now Oliver Wyman) in New York City and General Systems Consulting Group in Ann Arbor. She held leadership roles in both firms where she focused on global and cross cultural leadership, executive teams and organizational culture. Some of her clients included: Motorola, ABB, Ford Motor Company, Perry Nuclear Power, Corning, Bristol Myers Squibb and AT&T.
Nicki is also the President of Roth Consulting Associates where her assignments focus on executives and their teams. Some of her clients include: Dunkin’ Brands, Novartis, Ericsson, ModusLink, Xerium, Exelon Energy Corporation. She is also the co-founder of Saroga Nonprofit Leadership Forum. In collaboration with her partners, Nicki created a leadership model and other developmental tools that are specific to the unique context of the nonprofit sector. Her nonprofit clients include: Casey Foundation, Packard Foundation, Denver Department of Human Services, New York City Department of Mental Hygiene, Common Ground (NYC), Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Commonwealth, and Kripalu Yoga Institute.
Nicki is a frequent contributor to LeadersMatter, a publication of Bridgespan. She is the author of Beyond Passion: From Nonprofit Expert to Organizational Leader. She also writes a bi-weekly blog at www.getrealleadership.com.
Before her career as a consultant, Nicki was a family systems therapist and student mental health counselor at the University of Michigan.
Nicki earned her B.A. in Social Psychology and her M.A. in Organizational Dynamics and Clinical Treatment at the University of Michigan.
