Taran Swan serves as a Managing Partner for Paradox Strategies.

Taran Swan has spent over 30 years building and running digital and international businesses with P&L responsibility and coaching hundreds of senior executives.  She has leveraged her unique leadership and business skills to provide powerful insights into organization dynamics, creating strong cultures and teams, and guidance on how to achieve great business results.

Prior to joining Paradox Strategies, Taran was CEO of Taran Swan Consulting, an executive coaching and organizational development consultancy that helps senior executives enhance business results. Taran has delivered her consulting services to a wide range of organizations in industries including media & entertainment, technology, healthcare, financial services, professional services, and non-profit organizations.

Previously, Taran had a 20-year business career and held senior executive P&L positions at the Walt Disney Company, Viacom (MTV Networks/ Nickelodeon), and Salomon Brothers. At Nickelodeon, Taran served on the Executive Committee, and was Executive Vice President of Digital, and General Manager, Nickelodeon Latin America. Taran’s work was chronicled in the Harvard Business School case study, Taran Swan at Nickelodeon Latin America. That case was taught for 20 years in HBS’s required first-year Leadership course; is ranked on HBS’s Most Popular Studies list; and is used in MBA and executive management curricula at business schools around the world.  At Disney, Taran was a senior business planner responsible for evaluating opportunities for Disney’s Entertainment Division. At Salomon Brothers, Taran was a Vice President in the structured fixed income products group.

Taran serves on the advisory board of the Harvard Business School Women’s Student Association. She has served on the boards of a venture capital fund and an early-stage multicultural multimedia business backed by Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Taran received an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, attended NYU’s Courant Graduate School of Mathematics as a Bell Laboratories Fellow, and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
